My Premier League Dream Team

This is a collection of my favourite Premier League players for every position.  This team is obviously insane, but I’ve tried not to pick the absolute best, rather who I like as a combination of skill, swagger, and personality (and a bit of Arsenal bias).  This team is based on a 4-3-3 formation, so lo and behold my Premier League Dream Team.

Starting with the back 4, I’d have Kieran Tierney at left back, the Scottish David Beckham.  KT is a gamer who plays with so much hustle and heart, ad can whip in crosses like the best of them.  He’s obviously new to the Premier League, but he’s adjusting well and making an impact.  My centre back pairing would start with the up and coming Chelsea ace, Fikayo Tomori.  He was born in Canada so there’s a little bit of Canadian bias there.  But on top of that, Tomori is emerging as an incredible CB who’s done a nice job at keeping the league’s best in check.  Beside him I’ll put the Turkish Van Dijk, Caglar Söyüncü.  He was on Arsenal’s radar a couple windows ago, so I recognized the name when he started generating some buzz.  He looks like a warrior and has played a big role in helping Leicester to a top 3 position in the Premier League so far this year.  On the right, I want to say Hector Bellerin, but instead I’ll go with Kyle Walker.  This guy thinks he’s the fastest man in the world, and on top of being an amazing player he’s also a really funny person.  Finally, in goal I’m choosing Kepa.  He had big shoes to fill when joining Chelsea and he’s certainly had his ups and downs.  But Kepa is a savage and that’s what I like about him – refusing to get subbed off obviously was not the best move but I thought it was bold and hilarious.

Moving to the midfield, I’ll have N’Golo Kanté to start.  He’s arguably the best in the world at his position, and it amazes me how one can be so humble while being so good.  On top of that, he’s got one of the best songs – popularized by none other than Mr. Pogba.  Beside him I’ll put the Ox.  I loved Oxlade-Chamberlain at Arsenal, and still love him as a player.  I think he’s got a lot of talent but has struggled with injuries as well as getting enough first team action.  He’s just a personality that’s hilarious and easy to like and a guy I always wish the best for.  Lastly, at the 10 Kevin De Bruyne is an easy choice for me.  He’s got a wicked shot, insane vision, and can whip the ball in like no other.  Plus, he’s really fun to play with on FIFA so you gotta love the guy.

Finally, the front three.  On the left is Son Heung Min.  This guy might be the nicest footballer there is.  And he really, really good.  The recent issue with Andre Gomes also gives me a little more sympathy for Sonny.  In the middle is Aubameyang, my captain, my striker.  Auba laughs as much as he scores, and even though Arsenal have been trash this season, he’s carried them through a lot of games.  Finally, on the right will be Big Shaq, Xherdan Shaqiri.  Alpine Messi is an absolute tank and his 90th minute winner against Serbia was one of the most hype goals I’ve got to witness.

To finish up, we’ve got a team of characters.  Good players, not FIFA’s best XI but nonetheless a squad full of really likable players.
